Abstract: As an Islamist organization,Hamas not only adheres to Islamism, but also commits to the Palestinian liberation, which makes it possible for its dual characteristic of political Islamic movement and national liberation movement. In the past three decades,Hamas’s ideology has significantly evolved, which is mainly manifested in three aspects:its cognition of the Palestinian land, its attitudes toward Israel and its means in fighting with Israel.Based on the analysis on the texts and narrations of three important documents of Hamas,The Charter of Hamas(1988),The Change and Reform Pragmatism(2006)and A Document of General Principles and Policies released(2017),the paper argues that the ideology evolution process of Hamas is endogenous, hysteretic, pragmatic and sustainable.
