Abstract: Due to factors as information asymmetry, China’s banking institutions have emerged with two notable features: credit behavior deviation and credit resources centralization, which make the original derivative credit risk become the main risk in the economic downturn under new normality. Especially in less developed regions, where more reliance is placed on indirect financing, some of the bank’s credit behavior can even trigger systemic risk. Based on the theory of credit cycle, this paper studies the specific performance of credit behavior of banking institutions in different periods, analyzes the micro-mechanism of its formation and then put forward the coping strategy.
