Abstract: In order to provide a theoretical basis for molecular breeding of kernel apricot and to cultivate new varieties with the late florescence characteristic, with the platform of Illumina HiSeq? 2000 high-throughput sequencing - the transcriptome sequencing (RNA - seq) technology, transcriptomes in blossom bud of kernel apricot were sequenced, which were picked at three development stages of blossom buds. A total of 43 469 unigenes were generated through assembly annotation. All unigenes were compared with the gene database, function annotations of 22 874 unigenes were got, and the coding sequences of 21 910 unigenes were predicted. The transcriptomes in kernel apricot blossom buds at three development stages were classiifed based on GO function, and 17 237 unigenes were classiifed into 46 GO terms. All unigenes were compared with the KOG database, there were 8 379 unigenes similar to other plants which were classiifed to 26 terms, and 409 unigenes were unkown function, which maybe new genes in kernel apricot. By compared with KEGG database, 6 023 unigenes were collected, which involved into 259 metabolism pathways, and there were 33 unigenes involving in to circadian rhythm metabolism pathways.
