Abstract: Because of Beijing new airport metro line with a long section between stations, the control distance of trackside signals of the line is longer than that of conventional subway lines. This paper studies the requirements for the power supply, signal transmission, management and maintenance of the trackside signals in original design of the signal system, analyzes the solution of various kinds of signals involved in the system. It is proved that the solution is feasible by actual investigation and calculation, including the solution for management and maintenance of the signals on long sections.
