Abstract: The forming process is introduced for lock claw of cages in cylindrical roller bearings.By analyzing and checking cracks and abnormal contact traces in lock claw of cages,it is confirmed that the improper process quality control for lock claw is main reason for excessive deformation of lock claw.Some measures should be adopted to effec-tively avoid excessive deformation for lock claw of cages,such as control of accuracy of pre -split claw,reduction of angle of punch,restriction of travel of punch and detection of lock claw.
