Abstract: In order to meet the demands for high density, high speed and line-crossing operation of intercity railways in the Zhujiang Delta region, the train control system creatively uses the CTCS2 system overlapping ATO system (C2+ATO system for short later). This paper summarizes the problems of ATO systems for Guanhui and Fozhao railways found in commissioning and initial operation stages, analyzes the causes of the problems, and introduces the solutions and common fault emergency handling measures in projects. Finally, it puts forward the suggestion to deifne C2+ATO system technical speciifcations and apply it in future.
