Abstract: GSM-R network is now widely used for train-ground information transmission in CTCS-3 systems. It is found that radio overtime is a kind of main problems affecting operational quality of the CTCS-3 system. The paper introduces the problem analysis idea and situation of the radio overtime problem and describes some typical problems found during the analysis, partial problems that have been solved, as well as some suspense problems need further study, which can provide reference for solve radio overtime problems in practical applications.
