Abstract: Ore-bearing basic and ultrabasic rocks in southern Shaanxi Province were formed by magmatic intrusion at different periods including former Caledonian( Jinning) period,Caledonian and Variscan-Indosinian periods. The ore-bearing basic and ultrabasic rocks appear and contact to wallrocks in batholithic, rockbasin, bedrock, dyke, stocks shapes, mainly composed by gabbro complex,diabase-gabbro diabase and serpentinite. The genetic types of ore deposits in this area include the late magmatic segregation type, residual magmatic injection type and post magmatic contact-replacement-skarn type.
