Abstract: By using sodium formate (CHNaO2) aqueous solution as base material and adding inorganic KNO3, a composite cool storage material suitable for refrigerated transport is developed. The composite of organic and inorganic materials effectively adjust the phase transition temperature of the organic solution, and increase the coefficient of thermal conductivity of materials. Experiments show that when the additive amount of KNO3 is 11%, the composite material shows good thermal performance. The phase transition temperature, phase change latent heat and coefficient of thermal conductivity are-18.002oC, 279.1 kJ/kg and 1.182 W/(m·K), respectively. Compared with the original organic solution, the phase transition temperature decreases 3.172oC, the coefficient of thermal conductivity increases by 16.4%, and the phase change latent heat also increases by 9.8%.
