Abstract: The power cooling system for hybrid power automobile is different from that for traditional engine cooling system circuit, which needs to introduce an additional cooling circuit due to different working temperature range; thereby the new heat exchanger named low temperature radiator should be added in the cooling module layout, and the low temperature radiator may lead a fatal affect on the vehicle performance. In this paper, base on the cooling module design and the development of the cooling performance of air conditioning (AC) system, the low temperature radiator location is defined finally with the balance of development cost, schedule, difficulty and performance. The virtual design process is used as a part of the vehicle integrated development process, which could be a guidance or reference not only for AC system development but also for all the vehicle parts and performance; it could lead to a more comprehensive and more authoritative way for the conceptual design of vehicle development, and result in a shorter cycle and lower cost.
