Abstract: The USA is one of the most developed countries in the aspects of urbanization and higher education. During different phases of urbanization, higher education has provided effective support and service for urbanization. Specifically speaking, in the initial stage of urbanization, higher education has cultivated large quantities of practice talents through vigorously developing industrial and agricultural education; in the enhancement stage of urbanization, higher education has greatly enhanced the educational level of urbal citizens; in the knowledge economy, higher education has built comprehensive service system for urbanization through innovative research, industrial service and education and training.
