Abstract: The 16 higher vocational colleges in Hubei province are selected as the research objects to sort out the current situation of the construction of “dual-qualification” teachers in Higher Vocational Col eges of Hubei Province. The major problems in the construction of “dual-qualification” teachers in higher vocational col eges are analyzed as fol ows: the ratio of “dual-qualification” teachers is relatively low, the structure is unreasonable, the construction funds cannot be guaranteed, the construction system is not sound. On this basis, the countermeasures and suggestions in promoting the construction of “dual-qualification” teachers in higher vocational col eges are proposed as the fol owing 4 aspects: to fil up the deficiency of the system, to clarify the social responsibility and compensation policy between industries and enterprises, to create an atmosphere of construction in higher vocational col eges, to adapt to the change in situation for professional teachers.
