Abstract: The traditional teaching ideas have changed in the American California Silicon Valley Fremont Campus of Devry Universty, which used to insist on dominating the classroom by the teachers, while ignored the main role of the students to play. Now, the campus is using the forms of participation, cooperation, experience, exploration, to promote the students’ development on the basis of activity and practice, which is conducive to the cultivation of students’ creative thinking and creative ability, and enable the students to obtain the ability of sustainable development. China’s higher vocational colleges can absorb the advanced experience of the California Silicon Valley Fremont Campus of Devry Universty, actively carry out teaching reform and practice on the basis of respecting their colleges’ actual situation, and try their best to build a practical and effective learning platform for students' innovative development.
