Abstract: Professional teaching standards are the programmatic and guiding document for normalizing professional construction of vocational colleges, and guaranteeing professional construction level and quality of personnel training. In the “Working Focus of the Ministry of Education of 2015”, it is proposed to initiate the revision of professional teaching standards (system) of higher vocational schools. There are many problems including object location, structure perfecting and content integration in the “curriculum system and core courses” of existing professional teaching standards. It is necessary to strengthen the top-level design and improve the normativity of professional teaching standards of higher vocational education, enhance the foundational construction and the scientificity of professional teaching standards of higher vocational education, and strengthen the process management of standard revising and improve the openness of professional teaching standards of higher vocational education.
