The Executive Compensation and Corporate Performance——Empirical Evidence From China’s Listed Securities Companies

Abstract: Taking 19 listed securities companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share from 2012 to 2014 as the research subjects,using the descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression method, the paper makes an empirical analysis on the relationship between the executive compensation and corporate performance. The study finds that the executive compensation is significantly positively correlated to the corporate performance, and the better the corporate performance is, the higher the executive compensation is. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions on improving the corporate governance structure and the executive compensation system.
