Abstract: The cell broadcast short message service stated in GSM technical speciifcation has been applied in public mobile communication networks, but there is no speciifc application in the railway communication ifeld. This paper focuses on the cell broadcast short message service in GSM-R, analyzes the capacity of cell broadcast channel and proposes the architecture of application systems.
