Abstract: Investigation on demand for applied technical talents in Tianjin based on Industrial development and enterprise development, and analysis the results from the aspects of the number of applied technical skills talent demand, education demand structure and job demand, the results show that the industrial development in Tianjin is in urgent need of a large number of undergraduate level first-line technical skills talents, and existing undergraduate and higher vocational colleges can not meet the demand. Therefore, it is necessary to construct a group of applied technology universities.
