Abstract: Influenced by changes of external economic environment and requirements of internal development, the industrial economy of China is undergoing transformation and adjustment, which requires the compatible development of vocational education. This article analyzes the matching relation between the development of vocational education and industrial restructuring since the financial crisis from overall level and sectional region level and includes the key indicators such as the adjustment of majors and enrollment, the whole and the per capital education funding, the student-faculty ratio etc. The result shows that the development of vocational education basically adapts to the adjustment of industrial structure. However, there still exists some mismatch problems. Such suggestions as strengthening the function of government’s overall planning and market regulation, dealing with the relationship between vocational education and economic transition are put forward.
