Effect of oryzanol combined with trimebutine maleate in treating irritable bowel syndrome

Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of oryzanol combined with trimebutine maleate in treating irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).Methods A total of 67 patients with IBS were selected in the 33 / st Hospital of Zhuzhou from May 2012 to August 2014,according to the differences of the treatment measures,they were divided into the treatment group(35 cases) and control group(32 cases).Ccontrol group were given trimebutine maleate treatment,treatment group were given oryzanol treatment on the basis of control group.Before and after treatment,clinical effect,symptom score,frequency of symptoms score and incidence of adverse reactions were compared.Results The total effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P < 0.01); before treatment,symptom scores and frequency of symptoms score showed no significant differences between the two groups(P > 0.05),after treatment,symptom scores and frequency of symptoms score of treatment were lower than those of control group(P < 0.05); incidence of adverse reactions showed no significant differences between the two groups(P > 0.05).Conclusion Oryzanol combined with trimebutine maleate has notable curative effect in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome,can improve intestinal function,have less adverse reactions.
