Abstract: With the profound adjustments of regional and international relations, and complex changes of geopolitical landscape, the Palestinian issue has been severely marginalized since the Middle East upheavals. In July 2013,a newround of Palestinian-Israeli peace talks resumed in the United States. However, the peace talks broke down due to the difficulties of both sides in reaching a compromise on substantive issues and other factors. In June 2014,three young Jews went missing, which became a direct fuse of the 2014 Gaza conflict. Israel launched "Operation Protective Edge"subsequently, resulting in a large number of casualties. Behind the scenes of 2014 Gaza conflict, the Middle Eastern countries are further widening their respective spheres of influence, dominance and control over regional affairs by utilizing of regional hotspot issues,in the context of US declining influence in the region, thus forming a newpolitical ecology in the Middle East.
