Abstract: The Bainiao Park Site is a settlement site of the Upper Xinle Culture found in 1973. In May 2013, Shenyang Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology conducted archaeological excavation to the Huanggu Cultural and Sport Center Locality of this site, which uncovered an area of 100 sq m. The excavation recovered one house foundation and two ash pits of the Upper Xinle Culture, and eight ash pits of the Han Dynasty, from which some potteries and stone implements were unearthed. This excavation enriched the cultural connotations of the Bainiao Park Site, and discovered remains of the Han Dynasty outside the old Shenyang City for the ifrst time, which provided new data for understanding the history of Shenyang.
