Abstract: In October 1970, over 1000 cultural relics were unearthed from a hoard of the Tang Dynasty at Hejiacun in Xi'an, Shaanxi;among these cultural relics, there were many rare medicine materials and medical tools, which provided treasurable physical materials for the researches on the histories of the Chinese traditional medicine and the alchemy of the Taoism, and showed us an aspect of the development of the external alchemy of the Taoism in the Tang Dynasty.
