Abstract: On the lintels of the south and north entrances of the bottom story of the Small Wild Goose Pagoda of the Tang Dynasty, there are 31 inscriptions of the Ming Dynasty. These well-preserved inscriptions engraved on the stone lintels recorded large amounts of messages related to the historical ifgures of the Ming Dynasty. The contents of these inscriptions are mainly travels, as well as notes on events, all of which are the witnesses of the history of the scholars, literati and ofifcials visiting the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. The people related to these inscriptions are mostly natives of the Guanzhong region, and foreign ofifcials are also seen;many of them are famous or preeminent people at that time.
