The architectures of the Confucian Temple in the seat of Foping Sub-prefecture have been completely demolished;only two stone tablets are still preserved. Through the examination to the texts of these two stone tablets, this paper made clear the locations and building dates of the old and new Confucian Temples of Foping Sub-prefecture, and recovered the layout of the new Confucian Temple with the reference of the archaeological investigations. Meanwhile, this paper also briefly discussed the issues about the important architectures mentioned in the texts of the stone tablets, such as the Wenchang Palace (Temple of the God of Literature) and the Memorials of the Famous Ofifcials and Local Worthies.
