Abstract: This paper intends to research microwave digestion method of the blast furnace gas mud which is a kind of by- product s of Steel smelt. The best parameters of microwave digestion,including the different combinations of acids,microwave digestion instrument capacity factor,digestion procedure and digestion time,are determined through series experiments. The content of metal,such as Ferrum,Zinc,Lead,Chromium,Cadmium and Nickel in the blast furnace gas mud is determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry after the microwave digestion procedure.The experiment results indicate that this method has high sensitivity,precision and accuracy,which may support the subsequent disposition and recycle of the blast furnace gas mud.
