Abstract: In view of the phenomenon of 65 Mn wire rods in the process of winding the spiral spring edge micro- cracks and heat treatment center longitudinal cracking,the article adopts fracture macroscopic and microscopic observation,chemical composition analysis,microstructure analysis and other methods for crack formation. The results show that the main reason for65 Mn wire rods drawing molding fracture are edge abnormal microstructure( such as ledeburite,network cementite,flowing deformation microstructure) and surface defects( scar). The main reason for the center of the longitudinal cracking is that the heat treatment process is not reasonable,leading to quenching martensite precipitation,formed quenching cracks.
