Abstract: In view of slab warping phenomenon in a steel bar production,several problems which direct impact on the rolling efficiency and product yield are discussed and analyzed. According to the production process tracking,the main causes of billet warp are found such as the billet temperature,rolling line height,friction between workpiece and roller and rolling line speed. the occurrence of slab warping is reduced by adopting such countermeasures as reducing temperature difference of cross- section size of workpiece,carrying out reasonable arrangement of the cooling water pipe between rolling mill and control of mill speed,thereby improves the production efficiency.
