Abstract: Photoelectron Spectroscopy has proved to be a powerful tool for the study of electronic structure of molecules, ions,and surface of solids.In the wake of the Woodward-Hoffmann rules organic chemists are keen on knowing the symmetries of molecular orbitals and the energies to which they belong.Using the data derived from especially UV-PES a new area has successfully been built up with the help of some heuristic molecular models.Being aimed at the complexity of medium-size organic molecules in contrast with the simple molecules,some characteristic features of organic molecules and the corresponding methods in dealing with the problems are briefly discussed in the text.It is specially stressed to exemplify some typical questions in terms of the Localized Molecular Orbitals.It might be of interest for those who intend to gain some insights into this field.
