Abstract: By application of the Statistical Linearization Technique,the formulas for calculating the response of a special multidegree-of-freedom nonlinear system under random excitation are obtained. The results obtained by this method are compared with Monte-Carlo simulation estimates,in some cases. This numerical method is helpful to overcome Computational difficulties in the design proceses arising from using nonliear elements in modern engineering.
