Abstract: Since the implementation of National Medium and Long-term Science and Technology Development Plan of China(2006-2020) in 2006, the technology of the excavation, preservation and innovation of germplasm resources and oriented cultivation of new series in China have made considerable progress, this paper reported the obtained experience, policy repose, overall layout and achievements. As well as the technical challenge in the excavation, preservation and innovation of germplasm resources and oriented cultivation of new series, future development suggestions have been put forward in China.
