Abstract: Vesical calculus are more commonly seen in males than female counterparts.Giant vesical calculus with a diameter >5 cm is extremely rare in females. We reported a female case of giant vesical calcu-lus complicated with chronic renal insufficiency, secondary epilepsy and urinary infection.Furthermore, the causes of diseases, clinical symptoms and therapeutic regimen were investigated based upon clinical character-istics,and relevant literatures were retrospectively reviewed. This female case hinted that much attention should be paid to giant vesical calculus because it is easily neglected due to reclusive symptoms. Moreover,it yields a high incidence of spontaneous rupture of the bladder and related complications.
