Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of insulin pump on non-obese type 2 diabetes combined with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS). Methods Eighty non-obese type 2 diabetes pa-tients with OSAHS were divided into insulin pump group (n=40)and oral medicine group (n=40). Both groups received 4 weeks treatment. Insulin level were tested and insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR)were e-valuated before and after treatment. Respiratory disturbance of those patients were also analyzed by sleep detec-tors. Results After 4 weeks of treatment,HOMA-IR,hypopnea index and the lowest degree of blood oxygen saturation in insulin pump group were significantly improved than those of oral medicine group (1 2.1 ±6.4 vs.17.3 ±9.5,5.2 ±2.1vs.8.9 ±3.3、 (89.6 ±5.9)% vs. (82.8 ±6.2)%,respectively)(P<0.05).Conclusions Insulin pump might improve the insulin resistance status and respiratory disturbance of patients with non-obese type 2 diabetes combined with OSAHS.
