Design and Commissioning Operation of Sludge Deep Dewatering Facilities in Bailonggang Wastewater Treatment Plant

Abstract: The designed scale of sludge deep dewatering facilities in Shanghai Bailonggang Wastewater Treatment Plant is 1 500 t/d (moisture content is 80%). After FeCl3 and lime added and treatment process of diaphragm filter press used,the moisture content of sludge which treated by deep dewatering is less than 60%. The project was basically completed in June 2012 and was already tested from July to November in 2012. During 4-month commissioning operation time,the ability of sludge treatment was stable and reached 300 tDS/d. The moisture content of treated sludge was lower than 60%,which met the design requirements.
