Abstract: According to the principle of thermal decomposition, cerium doped titanium-based electrodes were prepared, cerium doped titanium-based electrode used as anode, pure titanium plate used as the cathode electrolytic tank, phenol used as target organic pollutant degradation, phenol content was determined by high performance liquid chromatography. Effect of concentration of Ce doped amount, electrolytic cell electrode spacing, electrolysis voltage,pH of electrolyte solution, concentration of electrolyte, phenol content and electrolysis time on phenol removal were studied. The results show that the optimal conditions in this test are as follows:SnCl4 · 5H2 O,SbCl3 and Ce(NO3 )3 molar ratio is 100∶10∶1,electrode spacing is 4. 0 cm,electrolytic voltage is 9 V,pH is 6. 55,electrolyte concentration is 10 g/L,concentration of phenol is 100 mg/L,electrolysis time is 6 h. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the phenol removal rate reachea 100%,fully meet the discharge standard of GB 8978-1996. In the next 10 days, removal rate of phenol can still reach 85%.
