Abstract: In order to grasp the temperature distribution of turbocharger bearing an d oil sealing ring after the emergency stop in the rated condition for gasoline engine ,the heat soak-back testing for a gasoline engine turbocharger bearing housing was car-ried out by using the self-made copper constantan thermocouple .The experimental results show that the temperatures of turbo-charger bearing and oil sealing ring increase to some extent by the heat backflow .The thermal siphon effect produced by opti-mizing the layout of bearing cooling system can decrease the peak temperature of heat soak-back .
