Abstract: Since the financial crisis, a growing number of governments have engaged in developing the dedicated financial education national strategies. These national strategies aim to enhance the financial education effectiveness through the nation-leveled coordination and efforts. Advancing National Strategies for Financial Education is jointly published by Russia who is the G20 presidency and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD). This publication brings together the experiences of G20and invited countries in advancing national strategies for financial education. This paper compiles from the 22nd chapter of the publication which is submitted by the government of the United States. The paper introduces the USA’s national strategies for financial education in detail from five aspects which are the definition, objectives and the development of the national strategy, financial literacy and commission’s activities, governance mechanisms and stakeholder and the implementation of the national strategy. As one of the earliest countries of developing and implementing the national strategies for financial education, the good experience of the United States in the field of financial education is worth learning.
