Abstract: 1997年,Fuller和Gibson将益生菌(probiotics)定义为一类通过调节肠道菌群平衡而对宿主健康产生有益作用的活菌添加剂[1].之后,益生菌的概念不断得到调整和完善.乳酸杆菌(Lactobacillus)和双歧杆菌(Bifidobacterium)是最常见的益生菌,一些其他种类的细菌和某些酵母菌也具有益生菌的特性.它们可通过竞争性黏附,抑制有害菌在肠道的生长繁殖,对调节肠道菌群,促进肠道黏膜屏障功能,以及局部和全身免疫系统的发育和成熟均起着重要作用[2].近年来,动物疾病模型的研究证实了益生菌或其成分及代谢物质的免疫调节作用,而且临床试验也证明某些种类的益生菌具有抗变态反应作用,这使得利用益生菌进行变应性疾病的预防和治疗成为可能[3-6].本文就益生菌对人体免疫系统的调节作用和机制,以及对变应性疾病的防治作用等作一介绍.
