Abstract: In this paper, based on an analysis of the functions and load distribution of the watch lever, a new design for the performance of the component is presented. Its surface strengthened and its interior toughened. A new combination technological process of strengthening and toughening-low carbon concentration carburizing of the surface and quenching of the interior to obtain low carbon martensite-is adopted instead of the conventional four-step carburizing process after the low carbon steel component is completed by cold squeeze forming. The practical result shows that the quality of the component is approciably improved, and the economic efficiency is obviously raised.
