Abstract: The surface tensions of Pb-7Wt%Cu and Bi-26Wt%Cu liquid binary al- loys were measured by the sessile drop technique,with the self-eomposing. programs of both Bashforth-Adams tables and β factor adjustment method. The results show that the surface tensions are 407 10 N/m,427 10N/m for Pb-Cu alloy at 850℃,900℃ and 343 10N/m for Bi-Cu alloy 850℃ respecti- vely.The analysis and discussion have been given to the influence of process of measurement and method of calculation on the results.
