Abstract: The method to design best forging die parameters according to the theory of metal plastic forming are presented by simulating and studing die forging process by using UBET.The problems that one must test many times to des- ign a forging die and the optimum design can not be done are solved and the forging force is decreased,the material utilization ratio is increased.The validity of theoretical results,the feasibility,the advantages and good app- lication prospects of the optimum design method of forging die are showed by both laboratory and factory.
