Abstract: he pear-shaped flow section contour of turbocharger scroll is featured by heart-shaped line. The flow field of nozzle outlet is simulated by using FDM,and the influence of nozzle width B on its flow field is investigated. The nozzle outlet velocity and flow angle α are uneven,and with the B axial increase the α decreases gradually and its distribution tends even,but the velocity increases constantly and its distribution becomes worse. The flow field of nozzle outlet varies a little as the B decreases to some extent. As the B decreases linearly along the scroll circumference,the distribution of α is improved, but the velocity is improved a little.
