Abstract: The method for coincident summing correction was discussed in detail and general formulae of coincident were given.Peak efficiencies of a Ge(Li)detector were separately calibrated at distance of 0.95,3.0,11.56,16.75cm from source to surface of the crystal,using γ series reference s-ources of fourteen kinds of nuclides,i.e,~(162)Eu,~(133)Ba,~(75)Se,etc.Calcu-lative and experimental total efficiencies,calculative coincident summingcorrection coefficients,peal effieiencies,least square fitting formulae ofpeak efficiencies and it's goodness at different distances were given.Theuncertainties of peak efficieecies of fitting curve are 0.8—1.6% in the59.6 to 1408 keV energy range(59.6 to 1836 keV when the distance is 3.0m).The uncertainties of experimental peak efficicncies were discussed andlisted.
