Study on Treatment of Retina Injured by Laser

Abstract: To study what effect bFGF,dexamethasone and vitamin C has on laser-induced retina injuries.Chinchilla rabbits and rhesus monkeys whos e retinas were injured by arg on ion laser were divided into nine (exposure contr o l,retrobulbar injection bFGF0.5,1.0,2.0μ.k.3D and dexamethasone 1.0m.k.3D;intra muscular injection bFGF1.0,2.0,4.0μ.k.D,and dexamethasone 2.0 mg addvitamin C 200.0 mg) and four goups(exposure control,retrobulbar injection bFGF 1.0,2.0μ. k.3D and dexamethasone 1.0m.k.3D),respectively.Six items including electroretino gram,ophthalmoscopy,fundua photography,morphometry,histology and ultrastructure were used to examine the therapeutic effect.The results indicated that bFGF coul d accelerate the repair of the retina tissue and prevent the photoreceptor loss in laser injury retina of animals.
