Abstract: Introduced in the paper is the concept of human resource value chains found in hospitals, comprising human resource introduction chain, configuration chain, development chain,performance chain, and remuneration chain. It also describes the value chain management support system composed of the strategy, culture, system and information employed in human resources management.As the authors put it, human resource chain management, if implemented in hospitals, can tap the potential and creativity of hospital staff, improve quality of care and research competence for a greater competitiveness.
