Abstract: Objective To compare the teaching effect of Case-based Learning and the traditional teaching mode in clinical teaching of digestive diseases.Methods Students of Clinical Medicine Eight-year Program from Peking University Health Science Center who took gastroenterology clinical practice in 2015 were involved in this study. Student in control group had class of traditional teaching mode and students in experimental group had class of Case-based Learning. Scores of case simulations exam and results of questionnaire were adopted to evaluate the teaching effect.Results There is no significant difference between students of experimental group and students of control group in history taking as well as diagnosis and treatment plan (P>0.05). Students of experimental group were significantly better than students of control group in physical examination and differentiation diagnosis (P<0.05).Conclusion Case-based Learning is better than traditional teaching mode.
