Abstract: Objective To explore and observe the effect of psychological nursing care combined with health education on patients with depression. Methods In total of 90 patients with depression in our hospital were randomly divided into the control group (n=45) and the observation group (n=45). Routine psychological care was adopted in both control and observation group. Patients in observation group also received psychological nursing care combined with health education. The scores of Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) and life quality of patients before and after intervention in control group and observation group were compared.Results Before intervention, there was no significant difference of HAMD score between control group and observation group (P>0.05). After intervention, HAMD score of observation group was better than that of control group (P<0.05); SAS score and SDS score after intervention of psychological nursing care combined with health education were significantly better than that before the intervention (P<0.05); Health perception, physical symptoms, sleep state, cognitive level and participation ability after the intervention were significantly better than that before the intervention (P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of psychological nursing care combined with health education can significantly improve psychological state and life quality of patients.
