Routine education and telephone follow-up were adopted in both control group and observation group. In observation group, follow-up by Wechat was also adopted. Results The recurrence rates in observational group and control group were 6.67% and 26.67% at 6-month follow-up respectively, 10% and 36.67% at 12-month follow-up. The differences of recurrence rates in observation group and control group were statistically significant(P<0.05). The incidence rates of complication in observational group was 3.33%, and the rate in control group was 20%. The differences of incidence rates of complication in observation group and control group were statistically significant(P<0.05). The scores in aspects of medicine compliance, protective separation compliance and health habit compliance of observational group was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Follow-up by WeChat can promote the compliance and reduce the recurrence rate of children with staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome.
