Abstract: In order to reduce the impacts of waves on the operation stability of the ocean crane, ensure that the offshore operations can be carried out safely, and in view of the high compensation frequency, the serious energy loss of the compensation system, analyzed the com-pensation principle and the amount of the recoverable potential energy,then a kind of heave compensation hydraulic driving system is de-signed which can recover the load potential energy,and used software AMESim to establish the simulation model of the compensation sys-tem, then made a simulation of a typical operating conditions to research the compensation performance and energy recovery efficiency of the system.The results show that the system can compensate the heave motion of ship precisely, and save energy greatly.
