Abstract: Objective To explore and analyze the safety management in intra-hospital transport of critically ill patients in emergency department.Methods 500 critically ill patients in emergency department who underwent intra-hospital transport with safety management in our hospital from January 2014 to January 2015 were included in observation group, while 400 critically ill patients in emergency department who underwent intra-hospital transport in our hospital from January 2013 to January 2014 were included in control group; the assessment was conducted on unforeseen events, satisfaction of the families and accidents in the transport process of two groups.Results The implementation of safety management in the observation group effectively reduced the occurrence of accidents and the mortality of patients, and improved the satisfaction of their families, compared with the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The safety management plays an important role in intra-hospital transport of critically ill patients in emergency department and can effectively reduce accidents and improve the doctor-patient relationship, therefore it is worthy of clinical promotion and research.
