Abstract: Objective The existing scientific training mode in hospital is taking personalized training measures for young talents of different scientific research ability. The objective of this research is using defect management method to find out and solve problems so as to optimize the existing mode.Methods Scientific research capabilities and research needs of young talents were investigated with questionnaire. Analysis was conducted based on the survey results.Results The number of domestic and international academic conferences attendance, articles in core journals as the first author and scientific research funds in 2 years of talents over 35 years old were more than those of youth talents. Young talents wanted to get expert support mostly while talents over 35 years old wanted more hardware, services, funds management, information service, etc.Conclusion The scientific research foundation of young talents should be further strengthened. Expert support and financial support for young talents should be increased. Hospital scientific research service and scientific research evaluation methods should be improved as well.
